Domains & Hosting

Your storefront needs a domain where customers can find it. Entaprenua provides auto-assigned subdomains and supports custom domains.

Auto-Assigned Subdomains

When you create a store from a template, the system assigns a unique subdomain:

{your-store-slug}.entaprenua.com

If the slug is taken, a random 4-character suffix is added:

{your-store-slug}-a3f2.entaprenua.com

Auto-assigned domains are available immediately. No DNS configuration needed.

Custom Domains

To use your own domain (e.g., shop.yourbrand.com):

  1. Go to Admin → Settings → General
  2. Set Domain Name to your custom domain
  3. Configure DNS:
Type: CNAME
Name: shop (the subdomain part)
Value: entaprenua.com
TTL: 3600

For a root domain (yourbrand.com), use an A record pointing to the server's IP address.

  1. Wait for DNS propagation (minutes to 48 hours)

Storefront Process

Each store runs as a separate Node.js process:

  • Cloned and built from your GitHub repository
  • Runs on its own port
  • Proxied by the Entaprenua router based on domain
  • Isolated from other stores

Starting and Stopping

Control your storefront process from the admin panel:

Action Description
Start Launch the storefront process
Stop Gracefully terminate
Redeploy Rebuild from GitHub
Status Check process health

From the Stores page, open a store card's menu to access these controls.

SSL / HTTPS

All *.entaprenua.com domains are served with HTTPS. For custom domains, configure SSL on your reverse proxy or DNS provider.

Maintenance Mode

When you need to take your store offline temporarily:

  1. Go to Admin → Settings → General
  2. Toggle Maintenance Mode
  3. Visitors see a maintenance page (HTTP 503)

The storefront keeps running — only public access is blocked. Admin and API access continue to work.
